Virtual Physical Therapy & Wellness

A great option for those out of town, with longer commutes, or who want to be able to focus on implementing exercises and postural training in their own environments.

Dr. Laura Wilson is an experienced practitioner with over 25 years of clinical practice in orthopedics and a specialty in pelvic floor dysfunction. The bulk of her career she has focused on helping patients who had incomplete, unsatisfactory results with insurance based physical therapy. Her goal is to go to the root cause of a problem, not simply treat symptoms or chase pain. She is tenacious in peeling back the layers of compensation and adaption that contribute to pain and dysfunction. Sometimes this involves addressing past trauma which gets trapped in the fascial layers of the body. She is adept at holding space while guiding a patient through the terrain of somatic work.

Dr. Laura uses a trauma-informed, integrative approach to treatment. She incorporates her skills of intuition and pattern recognition to facilitate a more encompassing level of healing than what is offered in a typical rehab setting. She is an expert at going to the depths with people in helping them recover and transform themselves in body/mind/spirit to an even greater magnitude of functioning than they previously knew. ###Education • 1999 Graduate of University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences, MS, PT • 2004 Graduate of Des Moines University-Medicine and Health Sciences, DPT • 2023 Graduate of Austin Massage Academy, LMT ###Certifications and Membership • Certified Craniosacral Therapist, Upledger Institute • Certified Integrative Dry Needling, American Institute of Dry Needling • Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist, Back School of Atlanta • Certified Weight Trainer, International Weight-Training Association • Yoga Teacher Training Certification, Level I Tantra Hatha Yoga, Somananda Institute • 13 year Member International Association of Healthcare Practitioners
